5G technology and router
The 5G technology creates a world of opportunity for customers working in a wide range of industries. In many industrial environments, you will need to generate connectivity between diverse sub-systems working in isolation. Industry 4.0 has enabled greater system compatibility, and now 5G can help achieve faster, more reliable data transmission that improves productivity. Infrastructure and energy applications such as Smart Cities and energy management can also benefit from the speed, capacity and security that 5G technology brings.
The benefits of 5G
High speeds
The most well-known benefit of 5G is its connection speeds, which are significantly faster than 4G networks. 5G has the potential to reach a staggering 10 gigabits per second. With the speed of 5G, moving large amounts of data will not cause any network issues.
Low latency
Latency is the gap of time between when a data packet is sent and when it is received and acknowledged. Compared to 4G, the 5G technology has low latency and can effectively support new demanding applications such as IoT, AI and virtual reality.
Increased capacity
With 5G, enterprise networks can host many devices in their IT infrastructure, all of which can transmit data simultaneously due to the larger frequency bands of the network. 5G can provide 100 times more capacity than 4G and thereby improve performance.
High security
5G offers higher security than 4G LTE and improves it in key areas. 5G security includes hardware security, key management services, secure elements and more. It ensures that data transmitted over 5G is secure while also hardening network endpoints.

Key features of JetWave 2512
Ultra-fast speed 4G/5G network
JetWave 2512 supports 5G NR and 4G LTE DL speeds of up to 1 Gbps. The wide spectrum bandwidth accelerates internet speeds and reduces network latency for premium and time-sensitive connectivity services. JetWave 2512 also supports multi-band connectivity including LTE FDD/TDD and WCDMA for a wide range of applications.
Broadband failover
JetWave 2512 can be configured to use Ethernet or Wifi as primary internet and failover to 4G/5G in the event of an outage. IPSec, OpenVPN and GRE protocols can be used for connections into core networks.
Secure remote connection
JetWave 2512 supports VPN for secure remote connection. VPN provides secure communication between the central office and the remote sites through the public Internet. Choose the JetBox 5630 as VPN server, JetWave 2512 as VPN client is the ideal secure remote connection solution.
Dual SIM standby for 5G/4G LTE redundancy
JetWave 2512 supports dual SIM standby for 5G/4G LTE redundant. When the primary SIM connection fails, the second SIM recovers to the other carrier provider.
